The Water for Good Board of Directors is a team of accomplished Christian professionals who bring their diverse expertise and deep commitment to our mission of transforming lives through sustainable access to safe water, improved sanitation and hygiene in the places that need it most.
The board members steward Water for Good’s mission with integrity, striving to create sustainable change and empower communities facing the daily struggles of the water crisis. Their leadership reflects a profound dedication to serving others and uplifting communities in need.

John Drechny
Chief Executive Officer, Merchant Advisory Group
John has a passion for helping people and organizations succeed, and he is excited to begin a new chapter in his life by repurposing those years of learning to help the underserved. John is the CEO of the Merchant Advisory Group, a non-profit organization representing merchants in the payment ecosystem. Prior to his current position, John spent 20 years working in various areas of Walmart, including Senior Director of Sam’s Financial Services and Payment Services. John has served on several industry boards over his career and is currently a board member of the Faster Payment Council. John has also been active in his church, including leading small groups and teaching at Financial Peace University. John enjoys traveling and spending time with his wife, Debbie, and his two grown children, Chloe Shah (Saumil) and Johnny Drechny.

Earl Quijada
Physician, Kaiser Permanente
Earl has 20 years of experience in healthcare. He is active in developing systems to deliver high quality care to people in their homes. He sees water as a cornerstone of health and is pleased to serve with Water for Good to transform and sustain water delivery.

Sue Hostetler
Retired Director of Health & Welfare, J.M. Smucker Company
Sue has traveled extensively in West Africa and recognizes the incredible impact that sanitation, hygiene, and safe water have on communities in need. Following a human resources career with a major food manufacturer, Sue began her next chapter of life by joining a Lifewater Vision Trip to Uganda in 2018 and joined the Board of Directors in 2020. Through her partnership with Lifewater and now Water for Good, she hopes to help put an end to the water crisis in the more rural, remote parts of the world. Sue also serves on the non-profit Boards of “For Every Girl” and “Lakeview Bible College.” In her free time, she enjoys making handcrafted functional pottery, tending to her flower garden, and learning to play the cello. Sue and her husband, Dan, love being involved in their local church, traveling internationally, and spending time with their adult children, spouses, and grandsons.

Jenise Steverding
Chief Impact Officer, Gifts for Good
Jenise is currently the Chief Impact Officer for Gifts for Good, a corporate gifting company focused on creating social impact through corporate gifts and swag. Previously she worked in technology, was an early member of
TOMS giving department and worked on the organizing committee for the 2015 Special Olympics World Games in Los Angeles. She holds a Master’s degree from SDA Bocconi University in Milan and a BA in Sociology & Business Administration from Westmont College.

Jake Stewart
CEO/Owner, Jake Stewart Insurance Agency, Inc.
Jake has always had a compassionate heart for the poor and oppressed and was quickly drawn to Water for Good’s work in 2013. He is particularly proud of the impact that safe water access, sanitation, and hygiene training have on adolescent girls — helping them stay in school and break cycles of poverty. Jake has visited Water for Good projects in Ethiopia (2018 & 2026) and Cambodia (2019) and was deeply moved to witness the work firsthand and meet beneficiaries in person. Jake owns and operates an insurance agency in California, with offices in both San Francisco and Lafayette. Since 2006, he has represented the same captive carrier and has been recognized multiple times nationally and within California for his performance and service. Jake holds a B.A. in Political Science with a specialization in Business Administration from UCLA (2000) and a Chartered Financial Consultant designation from the American College (2013). He lives in Orinda, California with his wife and three children and enjoys traveling, tennis, art, backpacking, and quality time with his family.

Kess Atuyota, MBA, PMP
Senior Technical Project Manager at Nortal, USA
Kess has played many roles in the technology sector including delivery, account management and functional leadership, including in some Fortune 500 companies. He has spent most of the last decade managing large technology programs and projects. He values helping others as much as possible, so that can become self- reliant.
He has been inspired by the Hocking family and the work they have done in the Central African Republic. He has seen up close the impact of the scarcity of water and supports the vision of Water for Good to help meet the challenge.

Greg Liening
Vice President, Global Tax at Milliken & Company
Greg is the Vice President, Global Tax, at Milliken & Company and has over 25 years of large multi-national experience in the materials science, consumer products and healthcare industries. He graduated from The Ohio State University with a BSBA in Accounting and is also a Certified Public Accountant. Greg has seen firsthand the devastating impact of water quality issues while co-leading many mission trips with his wife to Haiti and El Salvador. He considers himself blessed to serve with Water for Good as they seek to put an end to the global water crisis through sustainable change and focus on WASH initiatives.

Tim Culp
Chief Administrative Officer
Tim is Executive Vice President and CAO of Water for Good. He is passionate about meeting the physical and emotional needs of those who may otherwise be left unserved. It’s this conviction that drew him to Water for Good in 2020. Before joining the team, Tim spent 23 years working for Walmart, most recently at the Walmart Foundation as the Director of Finance, Systems, and Technology. Afterwards, he accepted a CFO position for Community Clinic, a nonprofit that offers health care to the underserved in Northwest Arkansas. At Water for Good, Tim is paving the way for growth in the organization’s logistics, finance, IT, and strategic support capacities so that more communities have access to safe water, improved sanitation, and improved hygiene each year. In his free time, Tim enjoys outdoor activities. He also enjoys spending time with family, his wife of over 30 years, Keli, and their grandchildren.

Dave LeVan
Chief Executive Officer
Dave is President and CEO of Water for Good. He is passionate about bringing hope and transformation to the underserved. He is an experienced entrepreneur, change agent, speaker, and advisor. His prior work experience includes leading transformation at Walmart, founding a consulting firm, and leading teams at Kraft Foods, and PricewaterhouseCoopers. He has a B.S. in Mathematics from John Brown University and an MBA in Finance from DePaul University. Dave created Harriette’s Song, a charitable foundation focused on serving children in need, and helped establish Serve the World, an initiative through his church to identify, evaluate, and fund charitable projects locally and globally. He serves on the Board of John Brown University. Dave is an avid reader, frequent traveler and lifelong learner.

Donald Kasongi
Executive Director, Governance Links
Donald is a researcher and policy analyst with more than 20 years of experience in humanitarian and development work, with a strong background in natural resources management. He is a multisector consultant passionate about advancing health, water, sanitation, and climate change initiatives at both policy and practice levels.
Throughout his career, Donald has worked with the Government of Tanzania, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, Nile Basin Discourse, and several Non-Governmental Organizations in Sub-Saharan Africa. He currently serves as Executive Director of Governance Links, a research and policy analysis NGO. In addition to his leadership role, Donald serves on the boards of five NGOs and two development think tanks in Tanzania. He is also a member of various advisory committees within his church. His deep understanding of water and development issues reflects a shared commitment to Water for Good’s mission of lasting, community‑led impact.

Kim Hadley
Executive Vice President, John Brown University
Kim Hadley loves serving and impacting the lives of people. Kim is the executive vice president for John Brown University in Siloam Springs, Arkansas, where she provides leadership for accounting and finance, auxiliary operations, facilities, enrollment management, human resources, information technology, marketing and communications, athletics and the university-owned radio station. Kim and her husband of over 30 years, Kelly, are active in church and have three adult children, including one son-in-law. Kim also serves on the board for the Symphony of Northwest Arkansas, the finance subcommittee for the Children & Family Advocacy Center in Benton County, and the board for the Southern Association of College and University Business Officers (SACUBO).

Gena Sego
Senior Human Resources Manager, Happy Egg
Gena Sego serves as the Senior Human Resources Manager at Happy Egg, a free‑range egg company based in Rogers, Arkansas. With more than 30 years of experience, beginning as an Executive Assistant, she has built her career through curiosity, grit, and a passion for helping others succeed. Gena loves partnering with small and mid‑sized businesses, guiding them as they grow beyond what they ever imagined possible.
She is also the co‑founder of Givington’s, a fulfillment and product development company rooted in creativity and service. Outside of work, Gena and her husband, Bart, enjoy hosting guests at their Airbnb and investing in their community. Known for her eagerness to learn and willingness to try new things, Gena’s joy in empowering others aligns closely with Water for Good’s unique approach to creating lasting change through sustainable access to safe water.
