Spread the good word as a Church Champion
As a church champion, you can sign up to receive our monthly church newsletter with prayer requests from the field and updates on our church programs. Church champions do two things: pray and share. Lift up these requests during your time of prayer. Feel free to put them on any prayer list you know about.

Partnering for Impact
Please share our church programs with the leadership of your congregation. Pastors and church leaders receive countless emails and letters asking for support. It often takes a church member sharing a worthy cause to get their attention. We hope that you will share our cause with your church leader. Let them know that we are here to transform lives through sustainable access to safe water, as well as improved sanitation and hygiene, in places that need it most. Let them know we want to partner with them in this critical work.
You probably know how to pray, but you might not know how to share our work with your pastor best. So, here are a few ideas to help you have a great meeting with your pastor:
- Pray for your meeting. Ask that God would bless you, your pastor, and your conversation.
- Set an appointment. Email your pastor or the church office to schedule a meeting.

Come prepared. Look through our church campaigns and make sure you’re familiar with them. Church campaigns are easy ways to introduce our work to your church. If you’ve got questions about our campaigns, contact us!
Share from your heart. You believe in Water for Good, tell your pastor why. Share why you think your church should get involved with this work, and then share the packet showing them how to get involved.
Give them some time to think. You know all about us; your pastor might not. So, give them time to review the materials and think about it.
Follow up. You should email or call a week after your meeting and ask what your pastor is thinking. If they have more questions, offer to set up a meeting with Weston Williams, our Church & Faith Relations Manager.
Follow through. If your church decides to partner with us, then be a leader. Offer to help relay information to the mission team or help organize a campaign.
Ultimately, all we ask is for you to have a conversation. Share the mission you love with the church you love, and see what happens. Your church leader may decide that now is a good time to partner with us as a regular mission partner or that a campaign would be helpful for your church. You’ll never know unless you ask.
